Do you charge more for work in London?
The plan itself costs the same wherever the site is — excavator and telehandler plans from £200 + VAT, lorry loader from £250 + VAT. Where a site visit is genuinely required we agree the travel cost with you in advance, in writing, before anything is booked. We do not apply a regional uplift to fees.
Will a plan from you be accepted by principal contractors in London?
Every plan is signed off by a CPCS A61 Appointed Person (registration 40389279) and written to LOLER 1998 and BS 7121, which is the standard Tier 1 contractors review against anywhere in the UK. Our plans are used by contractors including Wates, Caddick and GMI. If a reviewer comes back with comments, dealing with them is part of the fixed fee rather than an extra.
Can you review a lift plan someone else has written for a London project?

Do I need my own Appointed Person if I am hiring a crane in London on CPA terms?
Yes. Under a CPA crane hire agreement the crane company supplies the crane and operator only — planning the lifting operation and appointing a competent Appointed Person stays with you as the hirer. Under a contract lift the crane company takes that duty on instead. If you are on CPA terms and have no A61 holder available, that is exactly the gap an external Appointed Person fills.
